Media Manager Overview
The Media Manager is where all of your website media lives. This includes images (.jpg, .png, .gif), animated gifs, web fonts, audio files, pdf files, and video embeds. You can also organize your files into Media Bins.
Accessing Media Manager
Access the Media Manager by going to the main menu and selecting Media Manager under the Design section.
Media Manager Home Screen
Upload and organize your media using media bins and sort media by clicking on the navigation on the left.
Assets are organized by Recent Files, All Files, Fonts, Videos and Media Bins.
Your most recent upload will be at the top of the list.
Each media asset has an Asset bar to edit, remove, or access the asset URL.
Uploading Media
You can upload media in two ways.
1. Click on UPLOAD FILES FROM YOUR COMPUTER. Then click to select files through the browser window and click UPLOAD FILE.
Or 2. Drag files anywhere into the browser window. Then click UPLOAD FILE.
Media Asset Bar
Each asset has a media Bar.
Click EIDT to enhance your image using the image editing tools.
Click IMAGE URL to get the URL of your image. This URL is there for when you need to link to an image asset.
Click REMOVE to delete an image from your website. Keep in mind, deleting images could result in a broken image link.
Media Bins
You can organize your files into Media Bins.
Media Bin Home Screen
Access the Media Bins by clicking on the MEDIA BINS button from the main menu or the MANAGE MEDIA BINS from the side menu.
Media Bin Bar
Each asset has a media Bar.
To edit a bin click EDIT.
To remove click REMOVE.
To add a new bin click the NEW MEDIA BIN button.
Editing Bins
Name
Add/Edit the name.
Restrict to Role
Set an optional Role. You can also restrict access to an asset by choosing a role: Designer or Administrator.
Click Save Media Bin.
Adding Assets to Bin
Click on the media bin name on the left to sort media by the Bin.
Then, click on the “+” next to the name of the bin you want to add assets too.
Next, select the images you would like to add to the bin, or upload new assets, and then select ADD SELECTED IMAGE.
Fonts
The fonts section of the media manager is where your website fonts are stored. You will see Made Daily Framework icon fonts and any other fonts you uploaded. Do not delete these fonts unless you have replacements. Deleting fonts could cause your website to work improperly.
Videos
Create video embeds for your pages in the video section of the Media Manager.
To create or edit a video embed click NEW VIDEO EMBED and then add the following:
Name
Enter a name for the video. This name is for the admin only, it will not display on the website.
Embed Code
Past your YouTube or Vimeo embed code into the field below.
Click Create Video Embed.
